Refund policy

14-day refund if it does not work
  • Applies if the Scanner does not run on a supported PC (Windows 11 version 24H2 or 25H2) and we cannot get it working
  • Email us within 14 days of purchase with your order number
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method, and your bank may take several business days to show it
  • Other requests: if you have a different problem, or bought it by mistake, contact us and we will look at it case by case
  • Not covered: the Scanner reports known update problems based on published sources and cannot guarantee that an update will or will not cause problems on your PC, so we do not refund based on the outcome of an update you chose to install or remove

License for the Scanner

When you buy the Windows Update Risk Scanner, you may use it on PCs that you personally own or manage, including your household’s PCs and those of your own small business. You may not resell, share or publish the download or its list of known issues. One purchase is for one person. If your organization wants to use the Scanner across many PCs, please contact us first.

Information is provided as-is

The Scanner, our videos and our guides give general information about known Windows update problems, drawn from Microsoft’s published pages and other sources we cite. We work to keep it accurate, but it can be incomplete or out of date, and it is not a guarantee about your PC.

Your responsibility

You decide whether to install, delay or remove any update. Back up your data before you make changes to your PC, and check Microsoft’s own pages for the latest information. Removing a security update can leave your PC less protected.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, DeskTechPro is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the site or our products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product.

Changes, governing law and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, USA. Questions: support@desktechpro.com.
